Rap Star Homes

Rappers are known less for their talent and more for their “bling” these days, complete with their Hummers, Bentleys, and fur coats, gold-capped teeth and all those diamonds and Cristal that they go through like water.  With rap and hip hop storming the airwaves, commanding attention with bitter feuds, gun shots in the face and drive-by shootings, is it any wonder that we all want to live like rappers, bathing in the fame and fortune of just merely being a rapper? Two of the rappers listed below are more private about their wealth while the other two boasts about being the king of bling and the best the world has ever seen. Let’s see how they live:

The rapper that spits rhymes with the best of them yet does not seem to live the rapper life in the slightest, forgoing the wine, women and riches that are showered on man, to take care of his eleven year old daughter Hailey by his ex-wife, Kim Mathers.  Marshall Mathers, or Eminem as he is more commonly known round the world lives a cozy lifestyle that borders on the reclusive since he purchased a 29-room, 15,000 square foot mansion with six acres of land in nearby Rochester Hills, Michigan. Eminem bought the home from former Kmart chairman, Chuck Conway for 48 million dollars.

The notorious gangster turned rapper who is better known for being shot in the face nine times, is 50 cent, who makes his house a home in Hartford County, Connecticut.  Not quite the community that you could imagine this hard-bodied sharp-shooter to make a home in but he did when he bought former boxing champ Mike Tyson’s home in Farmington, Connecticut for 4.1 million dollars.  The house has fifty-two rooms and twenty-five full bathrooms with four of them containing whirlpools. If you think this is excessive, consider that he also has a private club inside, not to mention a waterfall AND a lake in his back yard set on the fourteen acres of land.

A legend himself, yet still alive and not quite through middle age, Sean “Puff Daddy/P.Diddy/Diddy/ Combes has been centered on achieving fame and fortune since he was a young bow-tie-wearing kid working to hype up late and great rapper, Notorious B.I.G’s career, propelling him to fame shortly before his untimely demise. P.Diddy works hard and plays even harder with expensive tastes and a penchant for the crème de la crème. His style and taste for the high-life extend to his numerous family members and friends where he is known on both coasts for throwing the wildest celebrity-filled parties.

However, Diddy just recently purchased a sprawling mansion on seven acres of land in the quiet but upper-scale community of Dunwoody, Atlanta for a reported cost of 2.6 million dollars. The new home boasts a number of features including seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, tennis courts, and the requisite pool. This is his second home aside from the modest house he bought in 1995 in nearby Fayetteville, although it is unclear if he will be using the newer home as his primary residence or not.
