Celebrity Homes For Sale

There is nothing better than buying your own home, complete with everything that you could ever dream of, except maybe, buying a celebrity home that is on the market. Not only would you be able to name-drop and tell all your friends that you own Mick Jagger’s old home, or that Madonna sold you her second home to make way for a luxury home that she wants to buy, but your house would more than likely look amazing.  However, all dreams aside, these homes are very expensive and the people with enough cash to purchase them are seldom star-struck enough to even reference that the previous owner was. Celebrity houses that are currently on the market and waiting for someone to snap them up are:

  • Dick Clark’s home in Palm Springs that is newly renovated and restored to its original classic Alexander style. Listed at 1,295,000, it is waiting for someone to occupy its 4 bedrooms and three bathrooms.
  • Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz’ former 2,341 square foot residence is on the market and boasting a beautiful Spanish Hacienda style with six bedrooms and 3 ½ baths.
  • Pierce Bronson’s 6 acres oceanfront Malibu home is on the market and ready to be purchased for 1.2 million as he is content to stick with his other Malibu home that has three bedrooms and comes in at 1 million dollars.
  • Currently up for sale is the late Christopher and Dana Reeves three story, seven-bedroom mansion in Westchester. Take a close look before whipping out the checkbook, as this lovely home is 2.95 million dollars.
  • Since tennis star, John McEnroe made a switch to television commentary in New York City; he put up his Southern California home for sale. The asking price is 5.45 million dollars and includes six bedrooms and seven bathrooms in addition to spa and pub rooms and a grand ocean view on all sides of the mansion.
  • Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey’s famed “Newlywed’s” home in California is on the market for 3.75 million dollars and comes with all the glitz and glamour seen in the episodes including the lush greenery where Nick killed a bunch of bees, or the swimming pool where Jessica lounged while he ex-husband was off killing said bees.
  • Courtney Love is not selling her home by choice, but instead is having to auction her Capitol Forest, Washington State bungalow that she purchased in 1997, but has fallen behind on mortgage payments so much so that it is being auctioned off unless Love can make up the payments that she missed, however, Love has been caught up in legal battles and will not be able to do so.
  • An interesting bit if real estate gossip comes from Mel Gibson who is reportedly selling his Malibu home to get away from Britney Spears who is his neighbor. Gibson is placing his 18 million dollar family mansion and moving his kin away from Spears to escape the bad blood that seems to envelope Spears at every turn – police, family services and paparazzi swarm her home everyday, he reports.

Spielberg who recently sold his Malibu home, not his primary place of residence, but a second home where he lost 1.5 million dollars when he sold the home for 4.5 million.  However, there is no love lost here, considering that the lucky buyer of the oceanfront property is Spielberg’s special effects whiz, Stanley Winston.
