10 Best Vacation Spots

You have the time off, the money saved up and the bags packed. Now where are you heading? While most of us find it easy to dream of that perfect place to go on holiday, if you don’t have a destination in mind, you may find yourself all packed up with no place to go when vacation time rolls around. However, doing a little research, even online, will yield a number of specific vacation spots ranging from vacations for families to vacations for singles as well as for couples without children, those honey-mooning and those who are not. Listed below are the top-ten best spots to go on a vacation where you’ll find rest, relaxation, excitement and maybe the odd celebrity sighting:
  1. Orlando, Florida – whether young or old almost everyone has visited the land of Disney and all of his friends. It is a popular place, as over a million visitors can attest, many of them returning year after year. Besides, an advertisement welcoming us to a place where all of our dreams can come true, well, that certainly is the best vacation we can give to ourselves and/or our families.
  2. Las Vegas, Nevada – a place that is preceded by it’s own reputation of wild and sometimes drunken weddings (I’m not certain if it was alcohol related, but we all remember Britney Spears’ wedding snafu three years ago to childhood friend, Jason Alexander), casinos, and the infamous Strip lit to blinding proportions is best summed up by the well-known adage, “what happens here stays here”. I’m sure Paris Hilton, who spent her twenty-first birthday at Caesar’s Palace was muttering that to herself the next day en route home to Los Angeles.
  3. Cabo San Lucas, Mexico – formerly Mexico’s hot spot was Cancun and still very much is in terms of being a popular resort place for civilians and celebrities alike, Cabo San Lucas, located on the southern Baja Peninsula of California is fast-becoming the hot spot for a Mexican getaway.
  4. Maui, Hawaii – is the best Hawaiian island for popular sports such as golf and surfing and you may end up swinging a club or catching a wave next to Michelle Branch or Cameron Diaz, both of who avidly surf at this famed locale.
  5. Miami, Florida – is not just a popular one hit wonder by Will Smith, but a popular place that seems to multiply daily with celebrities and civilians alike, all clamoring for the right tan, the right “bling” and the right clothes, all of which are sold here in excess.
  6. St.Barts, Caribbean – a tiny island located in the Caribbean and is usually referred to as “paradise”, with no tourist attractions or built-up areas, just the lavish staples such as good food in some seventy plus restaurants, most of which require reservations, not to mention blue skies as well as seas, and white, sandy beaches as far as the eye can see.
  7. Cote d Azur, France – located in southern France and also known as the French Riviera, this is a perfect place to seek something to please all five senses from the warm, jasmine scented breeze to sublimely beautiful blue waters.
  8. Bora Bora, French Polynesia – is referred to as “the Romantic Island” and what better place to have an intimate holiday with the one you love, especially for a honeymoon, than on the tiny island of Bora Bora.
  9. Vancouver Island, British Columbia – boasts friendly people, breath-taking natural beauty that will refresh the soul as well as the body when you choose one of the numerous ways to celebrate this clean and green Canadian paradise on the west coast.
  10. Niagara Falls, Ontario – is known as the honeymoon capital of Canada, where newlyweds celebrate their union with a trip to the awe-inspiring falls and then off to one of the numerous quaint bed and breakfasts located around and within the vineyards. Legendary screen siren, Marilyn Monroe came here shortly after marrying Arthur Miller and returned to shoot the 1953 movie, Niagara.
